Fit and restrictions

Brother sells the ScanNCut DX Auto Blade as CADXBLD1 and the required Auto Blade Holder separately as CADXHLD1.

  • CADXBLD1 is the Auto Blade; CADXHLD1 is the matching Auto Blade Holder. They are sold separately.
  • The CADXHLD1 page explicitly lists SDX125, SDX125E and SDX225. Other SDX accessory choices still need their own machine information.
  • CADXHLDQ1 and CADXBLDQ1 form the separate thin-fabric pair; neither should be substituted into CADXHLD1.
Restrictions
  • CADXHLD1 accepts CADXBLD1, not Thin Fabric Auto Blade CADXBLDQ1. The thin-fabric blade needs CADXHLDQ1.
  • CADXBLD1 is a blade-only order. It is not the separate Vinyl Auto Blade CADXBLDV1.
  • Brother advises a small test cut because material compatibility varies.
