Silhouette's tool chart distinguishes tools that fit a machine directly from tools used with an adapter. A blade being usable with an adapter does not mean it should be clamped bare into the newer carriage.
The chart identifies different adapter notes for older tool types, including black, white and blue adapters. Read the note for the exact tool row rather than choosing an adapter by the blade's packaging colour.
Begin with the whole row
Locate the tool name and its exact item number, then move to the machine generation column. Read the row's adapter note and the tool classification before shopping. Blank cells are not a compatibility claim.
For example, the Premium Blade SILH-BLADE-PREM and older 2mm Kraft Blade SILH-BLADE-KRAFT are distinct rows. Silhouette associates a black-adapter note with the former and a white-adapter note with the latter for adapted fits. An AutoBlade Type B is a separate native tool for its charted machines.
Cameo 5 and Cameo 5 Plus need separate accessory checks
The two machines share AutoBlade Type B, but their mat and feeder columns differ. The chart lists SHEET-FEEDER-LETTER for the base Cameo 5 and SHEET-FEEDER-A3PLUS for Cameo 5 Plus. Do not transfer a feeder match from one machine because the blade fits both.
Do not combine every chart mark into one promise
A tool may be native on one generation and adapted on another. The chart also separates Type A, B, C and powered tools, so sharing the same brand is only the start of the check. A powered accessory cannot acquire its electrical function from a passive adapter.
Confirm that the adapter set actually contains the required piece and that the tool is intended for the machine's holder. Read the manufacturer's installation procedure before inserting an old tool into a newer carriage.
Check the selection after installation
Choose the actual installed tool in the Send panel and use a supported material action. Run a small test cut with the tool securely seated. Stop if the attachment is loose, cannot be locked or strikes the material unexpectedly.
Do not force an unlisted tool into the holder or copy another machine's settings to bypass an unavailable action. If the tool's reference is missing or the chart contradicts the packaging, keep the pack unopened and resolve the exact combination with Silhouette support.
