Fit and restrictions

For Cricut Joy, choose the Joy blade with its silver-and-white housing (2007926), or replacement blade 2007928 when keeping that housing. Cricut also lists this blade system for Joy Xtra.

  • 2007926 is the Joy Blade plus housing; 2007928 is the bare replacement blade.
  • The Joy Blade works in the Joy housing. Maker/Explore fine-point housings are a different tool system.
  • Joy Xtra mats have a different width from original Joy mats, even though these machines share this blade system.
Restrictions
  • The shared blade fit does not make original Joy mats and Joy Xtra mats interchangeable.
  • Blades are sharp. Follow Cricut's replacement instructions and keep fingers away from the tip.
  • Check whether the installed tool has a removable blade: Cricut’s newer unified Cutting Tool is replaced as a whole, rather than renewed with a loose blade.
